THE GUJRAT MODEL

It was in 2013, when all Military Veterans were falling over their heels to sing the chorous of 'Har Har Namo', I was the lone voice in the wilderness warning them to beware, but I was told by my own good friends to 'shut-up'.

I did, but not before making my prediction, "You all would live to regret"

'Regret' they did and will continue to do so till this Govt is not consigned to the dustbin of history.

The Govt of Chappan Chaati came into power on the roller-coaster of a combination of delibertely patented falsehood and the Mirage of 'Gujrat Model'.

Over the last nineteen months, the Gujrat Model has fully unfolded before the Nation for all to see. BJP has been trumpeting for long that the Gujrat Model is a model of all round development. The events in the last nineteen months have, however, shown otherwise.

Gujrat Model means a govt wich has loose-cannon motormouths, who, while the Chappan Chaati occassionaly does lip service to the wonderful diversity of India, consistently keep using the most vile language aimed at their political opponents, creating communal tension and unbridgeable divide and making legally untenable statements, that should have attracted hordes of provisions of the Criminal/Penal laws of the Country but have, without exception, gone un-prosecuted.

Gujrat Model means even the PM of the Country can get away with making the most casteist, communal and abusive language from one public platform to another without remission.

Gujrat Model means to make false promises repeatedly and then blame the believer for believing in the 'Jumlas'. He has dishonoured the Veterans in the most shameless manner; he made dramatic promises to the electorate of Bihar, which he knows he will never keep.

Gujrat Model means to create riots as and when needed and then blame the local govt for bad administration, except when it was his own State.

Gujrat Model means lock up protesters and throw the keys away, by misusing the legal syatem.

Gujrat Model means that the moment any citizen opens his mouth against the Govt's policies and actions -

  • the hordes of their first line of defence, their Parivarik goons descend on him;
  • as a second line of defence, a concerted affort is made to label him as an anti-national;
  • if the second line is breached, as a third line of defence, is built through intimidation by fair means and foul. We have examples galore. Each day a new example comes to fore.
Gujrat Model means it need not learn any lessons from the drubbing received in elections after election and continue the Govt's all out effort, with renewed vigour, to communalise and to castise the citizens also to intimidate its opponents in the manner of the Gestapo and the Stalinist Secret Service. Not surprising in light of the praise heaped on such methods in his writings by their Guru, Golwalkar.

Gujrat Model means to behave in the most sanctimoniously mocking manner after saying utterly unbecomingly vile words and committing shanmefully attrocious acts.

On the prosecution initiated against the Gandhis, the Govt says it is a private matter but produces thousands of copies of a booklet describing their version, and issues them to all its members to be distribute in their respective consituencies.

CBI Raid on the Delhi CM's office and the Delhi Police raid on Kerala Bhavan, in utter violation of the Federal Structure of the Country's Polity, the CBI raid on the home of the HP CM when he was busy on the wedding day of his daughter, are just a few of the many examples of level to which the Govt of Chappan Chaati is determined to lower its conduct in order to achieve its nefarious aims.

For the record, ofcourse, the Govt will cry itself hoarse emphasising that CBI is not under them and no more a caged parrot, but the Delhi Police was and still is firmly under the thumb of the HM.

The question before the Nation today is, "How much more of this villainous Govt's Gujrat Model will we have to see before one and all are convinced that this Govt of Chappan Chaati is disasterous for the Nation.

Havn't we seen enough?

Isn't there some one in this Country who has the wherewithall to prosecute this Govt and its leader, in the Highest Judiciary of the Land, for all its illegal acts.
