'84 AND BEYOND :
WILL IT CARRY ON TILL 2101

I received the following mail today, from someone who is aparently anti-Congress. My reply is at the end of the mail:

1984 Cannot be forgotten.

Congress perpetrated genocide (almost)

against the SIKHS, apart from their

leaders encouraging comelete sweep

through looting of shops belonging to

Sikhs.

2016 Congress in the garb of Jat

agitation already proven to be led by the

assistant to the previous Jat Chief

Minister has managed to perpetrate a

loss of Rs thirty five thousand CRORES

to the State Public & Private property

just for a miniscule share in the

Reservation for a rich powerful class

(Reservation -Another epidemic of India

and it's vote politics.)

My Reply :

Dear Sisters and Brothers of Bharat,

Reprehensible as it was in general and and most abhorable personally, (I started my life at IMA with a Sardar as room mate and with whose guidance, within the next six months, I learnt to read the Granth Saheb in Gurmukhi), having been a first hand witness to the whole sordid affair at Lucknow and on the train to Jhansi that night, I can vouchsafe that it was a spontaneous reaction to the cold blooded murder of Indira by the very people detailed to protect her life.

I was also a first hand witness to the cold blooded and henious murder of Gen Vaidya and had the onorous duty to carry him, (blood pouring as from a tap, out of the hole drilled into his head  by the cowardly terrorist) and Mrs Vaidya to the Command Hospital, where he was declared dead. The brave Mrs Vaidya had taken a bullet through her right shoulder but superhumanly kept frantically hopping around till the fatal declaration by the doctor, at which point she just collapsed and passed out.

Pointless to state that my vehicle was flooded with the blood of an innocent man and one of most capable generals of the IA.

Also, pointless to say that the cowardly armed police escort, (A Havildar), warming the rear seat, had ducked down at the sight of the two armed terrorists on MC and later was spinning tales of how brave he was in the face overwhelming odds!!!

By a quirk of fate, I also happened to be the duty officer of the HQ SC that day and had filed a report in my own hand.

It will be interesting to note that the CBI had visited me at my home to give a statement, prepared by them, which, ofcourse, I refused to do. The great CBI, tried to lecture me on Patriotism, (Just like the pseudo-patriots roaming the length and breadth of Bharat).

While prosecuting the case, CBI did not call up the only eye witness to the dastardly act. Neither, for that matter, did the defence.

This is the first time I have broken my silence and gone public with this factual account.

My appeal to all my sisters and brothers of Bharat is to bury the past, (It's nearly 32 yrs now) and to move on. Keeping it alive will neither bring culprits, if any, to books, nor will the poison do any good.

There have been dark deeds, even gorier, in the past, which we have consigned to history and moved on. Most culprits of those incidents have gone unpunished.

Even those who publicly  admire the Nazis, are prospering in the same Bharat of today.

Let's stop using '84 as a political tool till the next century.

As for the agitation for reservation by the Jats,in my personal opinion, all reservations must go more than 68 yrs after our independence and let us give chance to the meritorious poor, but let's not pass imaginary accusations for political gains, without a shred of evidence.

That the Jats are backward is a joke of the millenium.

During an Army course, many decades ago, when I was a subaltern, a well built Jat friend of mine, (God bless him), from the prosperous land of Hariana, daily ate, (In my probably flawed personal estimate), the equivalentof two breakfasts, three lunches and two dinners. One day he told me in his Harianvi Hindi, "Paise le lette hain, Beh..... , khande ko kuch dette nahi"!!! He was the big, jovial, large hearted Harianvi Jat who, unflinchingly, lay down their lives for their Country.

That this time the agitaters went berserk, was an abberation that they would be ashamed of themselves.
