A FEW QUESTIONS
TO THE NATION

I have a few questions:

1.    Law forbids any one but an Army
       soldier wearing Army fatigue. Why
then are the Armed Police Forces
allowed to wear the same? This is
what is letting the terrorists exploit
       the illegal practice.

2.   Pathankot Air Base was attacked by a
       Pak Commando detachement. Why
was the command and control of the
       anti-commando operation at the
Pathankot Air Base, then handed over
to the IG NSG, with the Army under
him. Next, we will see the Army
       operating under the Police Forces!

3.   Why an essentially anti-commando
       operation planned and executed
under the over-all direction of the
NSA and not the Defence HQs? Will
tomorrows wars be directed by the
       NSA?

4.   Prior to March 2011, Paramilitary
Forces was a term loosely used
without strict definitions and could
include not only the Armed forces but
also any of the Central Armed Police
Forces and State Armed Police Forces
and even organisations such as the
Home Guard. In March 2011, the UPA
Govt, at the request of the Indian
Army, the Indian government
issued a definitive terminology
narrowing the definition of
"paramilitary" excluding the services
now known as the "Central Armed
Police Forces" (CAPF) (e.g. the
Central Reserve Police Force) and
services now known as the "State
Armed Police Forces". Refer :

story_13768094.jsp.
Why then is the HM still refering to
the BSF and CRPF as Para-Military
Forces?

5.   Why are all the Govts determined to
      have the border deployed Central
Police Forces under the control of the
      HM?
      The Border Management Task
      Force and the high-powered Group
of Ministers' report on "reforming the
      national security system" after
the 1999 Kargil conflict with Pakistan
      had stressed the "One Border-One
      Force" principle. It said, "Multiplicity
of forces on the same borders has
inevitably led to the lack of
accountability as well as problems of
      command and control".
